Being able to bring new life to buildings with no character has no action at all easy. It is often more difficult than building something new.

Buildings constructed with outdated techniques are the legacy of 60 years of the twentieth century and the following decades. Invade the territory of the city and peripheral are now protected by legislation distorted, it is believed that we should save something from the recent past, but there is nothing to save.

The problems of the renovation of existing buildings are in my opinion to assimilate completely and for everything to do architecture from scratch. The designers never forget the time and place to which they belong because the spirit Architecture resides in them.

The sun hits are those belonging to the contemporaneity of purpose and action.

Why do you continue to build? Need to think in many but it is not. Do you know why? It builds to aspire to overcome the neighbor, a kind of spirit of competition that often leads to the worst eyesores. In Italy it is clear the need for each of us to feel able to do everything yourself, so we tend to feel that all architects. This is not about qualifications or experience in the field but of the sacred art of make do. Often fall into the trap and I stand a master carpenter or mason, a carpenter, and other times sailed glazier, are often a good locksmith. Then I stop to think how many good craftsmen are there and I am sad not to have yet encountered. But preach good and bad scratching is not educational then I continue to trust others and do not stop being angry. Let's go back to 90% instead of the built where there is no local culture and historical memory, even poorer is the expectation of technical and technological innovation. This was followed by volumes without any criterion other than those dictated by local regulations sterile and supranational levels. Talk about urban planning in Italy is an understatement to say that the urban and civic sense for us has disappeared altogether. I hope that build or rebuild is driven by a need to be part of his time, turning to new advances in accordance with good memories of the past. You have to learn the valuable lessons of our fathers and to honor her and where possible to forget the moments of darkness to aspire to light: to be dazzled!

Quasi tutti.

Building in the mountains is like building in the city, use to say most of all.
Not really supose the prominence of the nature compared to the sporadic human intervention. Nevertheless it is assumed that the buildings in the plain or in the city center can be placed on the rocky side of the mountain or in the middle of a pasture. You can see building types mixed with the bad taste and without knowing anything about its territory. Who judges the projects in the areas bound without moving from beautiful desk in the capital, has never set foot in the hills and yet pulls judgments abstruse, contributes to the disastrous fall of architectural quality in the richest areas of landscape values. Are terribly out of place the too many white houses, brownish, with porches, roof tiles and stone buildings, not typical of the type of our mountains is gone. One time It was built for necessity and not for show off. There was a need to cover the wood or to protect the equipment of work, they had to treat their animals and are struggling to have a warm place to spend the winter chill.
Today is constructed to show that little or nothing that you have, you build for emulation and contributes to who makes worse. In fact there is a lot of solidarity because many are put in the race. Almost all.
Every now and then it happens one out ranking or unclassifiable for the table of the votes of the "ugliness without shame." It happens that a madman who wants to respect the soul of the mountain and build something that is suitable. Is immediately put on the edge and branded as "the strange."
The strange is the one who returns the old hut where it all began.

Fosse facile.

It's not so easy!

Start with the right foot is not so immediate. In any building work, bad predictions seems regularly come to life.
The first factor is the diversity of the means and methods that complicate communication on site between the various operators for the success of the work. Let's translate from the dialect a popular saying: "many heads, so many brains." We are not to decide anyone having more or less.
There are also objective differences between design and the implementation which is never surgery. Faced with a clear need to move forward and make money  there is a stop for the lack of flexibility in defense of "capacities" pitted by a single operator.
I prefer the concerted actions in the name of continuity of work and I'm convinced that some people are appointed to think (and to be accountable for their choices), others to do.
A good brain is worth little without good arms.
