“L’esercizio progettuale attende alle necessità del paesaggio articolando con esso una pluralità di percorsi obbligati e visivi fino a perdere lo sguardo all'orizzonte disegnato dalla scia delle automobili. Dalle Ville di Andrea Palladio, alla Mondadori di Oscar Niemeyer, al Kilometro Rosso di Jean Nouvel l’infrastruttura scandisce spazio e tempo. L’architettura diviene riferimento per il viaggiatore, trasparenza, luminescenza e riverberi di una parete vetrata individuano un preciso chilometro collocandone l’immagine nella memoria di viaggio. Una posizione che ai poveri di spirito risulta sconveniente sarà motivo di interesse progettuale: collocato nella stretta forbice dell’autostrada Torino-Venezia con la tangenziale sud, non lontano dal casello di Brescia centro, dialoga in veste di moderatore con un paesaggio complesso, alternanza di edilizia residenziale con preesistenze rurali, complessi industriali e loro ampie radure cementizie distanziati dalla vivida natura negli spazi interstiziali. Il principio dell’ordine strutturale ha accomunato tutte le grandi epoche architettoniche. In quanto morfologica ed organica è una condizione in cui la forma diventa conseguenza della struttura e non ragione del costruire.” “Il principio non passa di moda per due ragioni: esso è insieme radicale e conservatore.
